Dillingham Air Service

History of the Airline and Her People

Welcome to the "unofficial" internet home of Dillingham Air Service.  These pages are dedicated to those that made Dillingham Air Service the great airline she was.

Mathias P. "Red" Flensburg co-owned Dillingham Air Service with Robert Dennis Fenno.

On 26 November 1939 Matt Flensburg purchased a Waco YKC N14066 (c/n 3991) from Island Crop Dusting Co. of Caribou, Maine.

On February 18, 1947 Flensburg sold the Waco to Dillingham Air Service.

According to legal documents, on or about February 25, 1947 Flensburg conveyed his remaining half interest in the air carrier enterprise to Eric Fenno.

The airline under new leadership was eventually renamed Bristol Bay Airlines.
